Licking County Farm Bureau Salutes 57 Century Farms
The
Licking County Farm Bureau, Soil and Water Conservation District, OSU
Extension and Bicentennial Commission recognized 57 Century Farms.
The Century Farms were honored with a breakfast attended by 300
industry and community leaders on March 20, 2008, National Agricultural
Day. The Century Farm recognition was part of Licking County's
Bicentennial celebration. County President Paul Davidson noted
three farms were Bicentennial Farms, founded prior to the 1808
chartering of Licking County.
Farm Bureau and Soil & Water presented a plaque to each farm. A plaque recognizing the 57 Century Farms will be permanently displayed at the Licking County Agriculture Building.
